Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the questions we get most frequently from our customers - if your question isn't here, please feel free to call or contact us via email.
Q: Do you do decorative plating?
A: No. Indianhead Plating works with Industrial hard-chrome for manufacturing and other heavy machinery needs. Chrome for your car or objects like plumbing fixtures is considered decorative plating.
Q: Can you complete a rush order?
A: Our facility is open 24 hours a day, and we can accommodate orders with strict, close deadlines. Because the entire hard-chrome process is done in-house, we can insure the speed and quality that you require, including Monday morning deadlines thanks to our exceptional weekend crew.
Q: What sizes of components can you handle?
A: We can handle virtually any component in our 20 hard-chrome plating tanks. From small objects to gigantic parts up to 18 1/2 feet long and 48 inches in diameter, we are ready to fulfill your needs.
Q: How well-equipped is your facility?
A: Thanks to recent expansions, Indianhead Plating now has a total of 80,000 sq. ft. of floor space. Our 20 plating tanks, stripping, baking, and cylindrical grinding capabilities enable us to handle a huge variety of projects - all with our very fast turnaround time.
Q: Where can you ship?
A: Indianhead Plating offers our company-owned semi-truck service to the Twin Cities region daily, and other areas can be easily accommodated through common carriers. We will work with you to ensure your project is completed and shipped to where it needs to be when it needs to be there.
Q: What is it like to work with Indianhead Plating?
A: Hard-chrome plating is a process that cannot be done entirely with machines. We employ a large staff of talented, dedicated employees who believe in customer service as a vital part of our business. Our years of success are due as much to our ability to provide a great customer experience as they are to our skill in fulfilling orders.
